Conrad Herwig, whom the legendary Eddie Palmieri described as ‘the greatest trombonist in the world’ has had an extraordinary career both as a soloist and a sideman, releasing 26 albums under his own name as well as being in constant demand as a sideman, performing with Joe Henderson, Horace Silver, McCoy Tyner, and Joe Lovano among others. His own projects have featured such luminaries as Randy Brecker, Ruben Blades, Michel Camilo, Joe Lovano, Eddie Palmieri, Paquito D’Rivera, Dave Valentin and many others.

For his first Dublin concert he’ll be joined by four of Ireland’s finest musicians, saxophonist Michael Buckley (who has played with Conrad in the Mingus Big Band), the award winning bassist and composer Ronan Guilfoyle, the great Venzuelan pianist Leopoldo Osio, and a young drummer really making a name for himself on the Dublin scene – Brendan Doherty.

This will be a night of world-class, New York-style, groove-laden, swinging jazz – book early to avoid disappointment!
