Dexter Gordon was one of the greatest tenor saxophonists in the history of jazz, whose career spanned more than 50 years, and which, apart from concerts and recordings, also encompassed starring in the highly acclaimed movie Round Midnight, for which Gordon was nominated for an Oscar.

The legendary Dutch drummer Eric Ineke played with Dexter many times, and was Dexter’s first choice when embarking on his European tours. Eric later recorded ‘Dexternity’, an album dedicated to Gordon’s compositions, and it is this music he is bringing to Magy’s Farm.

Eric’s fabled career has included work with countless jazz giants such as Hank Mobley, Dexter Gordon, Woody Shaw, Johnny Griffin, and Lee Konitz. Joining Eric will be Michael Buckley on saxophone, Leopoldo Osio on piano, and Ronan Guilfoyle on bass - three musicians who have played with Eric many times and have formed a close musical and personal bond with the great drummer.
